Roll on Roll off

  Glossary

If you are shipping your vehicle – then the chances of you seeing the phrase RoRo are pretty high.

It’s the process of shipping whereby the car never actually sees a container.

If you’ve ever been on a ferry, its like that, but much bigger.

Before your vehicle arrives at the port you’ll have to ensure that there is enough fuel for manoeuvring at either side of the journey within the port.

It must also have had all personal effects removed and be clean.

Most people choose RoRo because it’s considered cheaper, but don’t forget your vehicle won’t be enclosed like it would in a container.
